Hydranoids are an important part of the world of Bakugan as they are the guardians of their owners. Bakugan Hydranoids are black and from the Darkus planet. They are also body guards, bounty hunters and even friends of the owners. The character Alice Gehahbich uses Hydranoid for support. Alpha Hydranoid is for Alice to have in order for her to have control and this Bakugan Hydranoid is a Darkus Attribute and is actually a secret because it is evil. The Darkus Hydranoid is Masquerade’s guardian Bakugan and Masquerade is the number one Bakugan player before he leaves Alice’s body.

Darkus Hydranoid and Alpha Hydranoid are the most popular Hydranoids of Bakugan. Darkus Hydranoid is a creature that looks like a dragon and has a very sharp tail with and large spiny teeth. He uses armor that no one can get through. This Bakugan creature is cruel and evil, but moves around slowly with his cell-like structure for his body. Bakugan Hydranoid can evolve and the Darkus one evolved into a two-headed hydranoid and later a three-headed one where it became known as Alpha Hydranoid. Masquerade is the ruler of Bakugan Hydranoid and waits for this hydranoid to evolve until he can use it for his powers and ultimately show it to Alice.
