Black Bakugan are from the planet Darkus which is one of the six worlds of the Vestroia Universe. Darkus has the attribute of Darkness of the six attribute worlds that has several different and powerful Bakugan that live there. These Bakugan are guardians of the different human beings who have to restore peace in the universe of Vestroia and reunite the Infinity Core and the Silent Core.

This task may sound simple but it is quite a challenge. The Black Bakugan are there to fight battles and destroy enemies and have special abilities according to their Darkus Attribute. The planet Darkus is the darkest one in the universe where the Bakugan know how to handle the lack of light and use it to their advantage. These Bakugan are black include the Hydranoid, Fear Ripper, and Preyas who have gone through intense training and have become grandmasters of fighting and destroying during the night. They are almost ninja-life with their ability to creep around among the shadows and have cunning tactics. They often face Masquerade who uses the Darkus Bakugan and the Doom Dimension to provoke fear among other battlers. The Doom Dimension is able to capture a Bakugan and never let it go. The most important ability cards for the Black Bakugan of Darkus are the Red Ability Cards that provide strength for the creatures.
